I have always been fascinated by the distant – exotic plants, Mediterranean women and southern expressions that are so different from Norway. In my own garden here in Spain I find inspiration among palm trees, flowers, beautiful sculptures and the sound of water flowing from the birdbath. A Backyard Story is about exactly this – the feeling of coming home, to a place that is both new and at the same time feels like it has always been a part of me.
